FERRY COUNTY — It’s not the Republican National Convention, but it’s Republic, nonetheless.
Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has accepted an invitation to speak at the 2013 Republic High School graduation on June 1 in Ferry County.
Palin will speak to 27 graduating seniors, their families and others in the typically small-town event. According to a statement released by the school, Palin agreed to serve as the commencement speaker after an extensive campaign was waged by Senior Class President Tyler Weyer.

Holy mountains of icky crap. According to a poll on the Republican primary ticket for Senate in Alaska, Sarah Palin would win, even though the half-term Governor is not well liked even there, and who can blame them after she quit halfway into her term.

Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin attended her first Kentucky Derby over the weekend, making a statement with a bet on a horse named “Frac Daddy.” It didn’t pay off.
“Frac Daddy, the name alone warranted a bet,” Palin said on Sunday, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. She went on to call the entire event a “wonderful experience.”
